SUS420J2 is a stainless steel material, which is a type of martensitic stainless steel. Has high hardness and wear resistance. This material is often used in the manufacture of high hardness, high strength and corrosion-resistant mechanical parts such as knives, molds, bearings and valves.
The heat treatment of SUS420J2 stainless steel can be achieved by quenching and tempering to obtain the best properties and hardness. When the material is tempered at 150-370 degrees Celsius, it can obtain excellent corrosion resistance and toughness. However, when processing SUS420J2 at high temperature, care should be taken to avoid overheating and rapid cooling to avoid oxidation and deformation of the material. Its corrosion resistance is not as good as other stainless steel materials such as AISI 304 or 316.

SUS410J1 is a martensitic stainless steel material specified in the Japanese Industrial Standard JIS G4303. It is known for its excellent hardenability, high hardness, toughness, corrosion resistance, thermal strength, and ability to withstand cold deformation. Additionally, it has impressive shock absorption properties. Proper tempering is crucial for maximizing its properties; it should be tempered at high or low temperatures, but tempering between 370-560 ℃ should be avoided.
SUS410J1 with superior corrosion resistance compared to 410. It displays good machinability and corrosion resistance after quenching and tempering, resulting in increased strength and toughness. This steel is commonly utilized in manufacturing parts that require resistance to atmospheric, water vapor, water, and oxidative acid corrosion, such as automotive turbine blades and high-temperature components.
